About SUNBOOSTER

We believe the ground beneath a solar plant should produce value—not absorb it.

SUNBOOSTER turns an overlooked part of a bifacial solar asset into a high-performance optical and operational layer: more light for the rear of the modules, less growing space for grass, and a clearer route to stronger project economics.

Our story

A simple question changed how we see the solar farm.

Solar engineers spend enormous effort optimising modules, inverters, structures and trackers. Yet hectares of ground underneath the array are often treated only as land to drain, mow and maintain. With bifacial modules, that ground is also part of the optical system.

SUNBOOSTER was created to connect those two realities. A bright engineered membrane can redirect otherwise-lost sunlight toward the rear cells while physically covering the zones where tropical vegetation creates repeated cost. One intervention can therefore support two separate value streams: additional energy and reduced ground-maintenance work.

That idea is powerful because it can serve both new projects and operating assets. It does not require another megawatt of modules to start creating more output from a suitable existing MWp. It asks owners and EPCC teams to design the ground with the same commercial discipline as the rest of the plant.

Today, SUNBOOSTER is brought to market by Solunar Energy Sdn Bhd. We combine supplied international technology evidence with Malaysian project screening, layout thinking, financial modelling and a clear due-diligence trail. We are building a category—not hiding the assumptions behind a headline.

Built around the project team

A material is only as valuable as the system it joins.

We work at the intersection of asset ownership, design, construction and operations. That means testing the commercial case, checking the site geometry, protecting drainage and access, and defining how performance will be measured before deployment.

01

Our mission

Make bifacial solar assets more productive, measurable and easier to maintain.

We help owners, IPPs, developers and EPCC teams turn ground reflectance into project value through practical engineering, transparent modelling and responsible deployment.

02

Our vision

A future where every major surface inside a solar plant has a defined energy purpose.

We want reflective ground design to become a normal optimisation pathway for suitable bifacial PV—considered alongside modules, trackers, inverters and storage from the earliest stage.

Why we do what we do

Because building more clean energy is only half the challenge. We must recover more value from what is already built.

01

Every photon matters

Sunlight absorbed by ordinary ground is a missed opportunity when bifacial rear cells are ready to use reflected irradiance.

02

Every operating cost matters

Repeated mowing and vegetation work can consume budget for years. The covered optical surface can also reduce that recurring task.

03

Every installed MWp matters

Retrofitting a suitable plant can create incremental generation without replacing the operating module fleet or acquiring more land.

04

Every assumption must be visible

Tariff, resource, AC uplift, clipping, costs and ageing are editable because confidence grows when the model can be challenged.

Why the technology is groundbreaking

It changes the role of the ground.

Conventional thinking treats the land under a PV array as passive space. SUNBOOSTER treats it as a designed optical surface, an O&M intervention and a financial asset at the same time.

Light returned from the engineered ground surface can reach the rear side of a compatible bifacial module.
01Capture

High-reflectance membrane returns more incident light upward.

02Convert

Bifacial rear cells convert part of that irradiance into DC power.

03Deliver

Inverters and BESS determine how much becomes usable AC energy.

04Monetise

Incremental settled energy and O&M savings strengthen cash flow.

Reference projects in the supplied technical dossier report project-dependent gains within and around the 5–11% screening range. SUNBOOSTER does not turn those references into a guarantee: every site is modelled against its own geometry, natural albedo, module bifaciality, inverter headroom, curtailment and contract.

How we work

Four principles keep a groundbreaking idea grounded.

01

Evidence before promise

We separate material test evidence, project models and operating references so decision-makers can see exactly what each one proves.

02

System before product

The membrane must work with the modules, structure, inverter, BESS, drainage, land and O&M plan—not around them.

03

Value in delivered energy

Optical uplift matters only when it becomes usable AC energy, additional revenue or a defensible operating-cost saving.

04

Designed for real sites

Tropical rain, wind, wet soil, fast vegetation, access and constructability belong in the first design conversation.

Credibility by design

Independent reports. Reproducible assumptions. Project-specific engineering.

The supplied dossier references material-level testing by TÜV SÜD, SGS, CPVT, ZTT and Zhejiang Max Testing across reflectance, accelerated ageing, mechanical strength, restricted substances, flame behaviour and cleanability. Issuer names identify specific reports; they are not presented as blanket endorsement of the SUNBOOSTER brand.
